Now in its third year, WFMY News 2 Piedmont Winterfest has grown each year and become a favorite holiday tradition of the Triad.WFMY News 2 Winterfest features an outdoor ice skating rink with a 100 ft. ice slide, snack shack, music, seating for spectators and the opportunity for birthday parties or private party rentals.

Greensboro Jaycees Holiday Parade

A Downtown tradition for over 36 years with larger than life Macy-style balloons, professional floats, drill teams and the area’s best high school marching bands parade down the streets engaging onlookers of all ages. Parade starts at 12 noon. It is the only parade in North Carolina that features Macy-style balloons. Rain or shine!

Greensboro’s annual holiday kick-off celebration featuring six blocks of live music, pictures with Santa, children’s crafts and more. The highlight of the festival will be the lighting of the Community Tree in Center City Park accompanied by a holiday sing-along. The festival will also run in conjunction with Downtown Greensboro Inc.’s First Friday event and is a part of Downtown in December.

On this First Friday is Greensboro’s annual holiday kick-off celebration of Festival of Lights featuring six blocks of live music, pictures with Santa, children’s crafts, and more.
